I've made some updates in the character introductions, in particular, the Prince's Organization section, the McKeel clan section, the past characters section, and added a new section called Jewels. All of this information was taken and translated from the Japanese Hakushaku to Yousei wikipedia site, so I take no credit in writing that, just translating.
Also, it seems Weebly only allows small amont of files to be uploaded, plus the images in the gallery are eventually going to be uploaded into the chapter translations, so I decided to delete the Gallery page entirely. For those who want to see those images, you can go to the Links page and open up the link to a Chinese site that offers those downloads. Or you can go to this site, that has illustrations and the whole novel downloads. Sorry about that, Nalya

I wasn't planning on making one at first, but after a little consideration, I decided to make a facebook page for this site.
I'm just going to be putting up status reports about new translations I've uploaded onto this site, so there won't be much other activity than that. I really want to concentrate any time I can spare in translating. But if anyone wants to comment on the facebook page, go right on ahead: www.facebook.com/dearestfairy Thanks, Nalya. Today is the author Mizue Tani's birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'm not aware of her age but I hope that she lives many, many more years and will be grateful in providing even more wonderful works to us hungry readers.
Also, the second chapter in book five is done being translated! Please check out Chapter 2. Daydream and Nightmare! Enjoy! Nalya I changed some of the questions in the survey on this latest news page. Left the how you got to this website and which is your favorite character, but got rid of the age group, and added more about what readers like about the series.
If you have time to spare, please participate! Thank you! Nalya I would like to remind all Hakushaku to Yousei fans that the AUTHOR'S BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP! For those who don't know, her birthday is February 3rd. I wonder what she will be doing for herself that day or if her family or friends will be holding some kind of celebration for her. But you never know, she just might be using that day to write up the next and last book in the series. By the way, the ones in the photo are - left: Hikaru Midorikawa (voice actor for Edgar) - center: the author, Mizue Tani - right: Nana Mizuki (voice actress for Lydia.) Photo was taken in October 2008 during interview for the animation series. I will upload the translations for the next chapter in book 5 on that day and leave my personal message to the author, so anyone who wants to join in - please say your happy birthday to the author! Nalya When I was passing by a bookstore in Tokyo, I happened to see one of the author Mizue Tani's latest works 'Memorial Times Repair Service' 「思い出のとき修理します」 stacked high and set out for passerbys to see.
I was so thrilled to see that the author is being credited for her writing. It also said that this book will be MADE INTO A MANGA! So Hakushaku to Yousei fans should also check that manga out when it comes out!! Nalya As a Hakushaku to Yousei fan and going ahead and putting up english translations of this series, I came to think that I should make sure and show my support for this series. The best way to show my support was to put up a page with links to sites that sell or fans not in Japan can place an order for the books.
I put up links of the Japanese Amazon where they do International shipping and the Kinokuniya book stores in the USA and Thailand. Of course those books are all written in Japanese so english readers obviously won't be able to read them. Only english readers who wish to support the author and learn or brush up their Japanese should buy the books. Anyway, this is just me showing my admiration and cheer and support to the author Ms. Tani. Nalya I've just now realized that I translated the title of book 12 and the short story in it with the same title into a different, wrong meaning. I had thought that the kanji 'itomeru' (射止める) meant to resist, but after double checking, I've realized that it means 'to win the heart of' or 'obtain.' So I've changed the title of that. (Now that title makes sense because it was a short story about Lydia being counseled on how to win the heart of the man she is in love with - or so the nightingale fairy thought.)
But I have to say that Japanese can sometimes be really difficult. Boy that mistake was embarassing. Nalya The first chapter of book 5 "The Earl is the root of misfortune" is done being translated and now uploaded onto the site. Please excuse any of my spelling or grammar mistakes. And I can't forget to thank the author Mizue Tani for creating such a wonderful series!
Nalya I'm almost done with the english translation of the first chapter of book 5. I'll have it uploaded and ready to read by tonight (if something happens maybe tomorrow.)
