Hello all! It has been a while, hasn't it? But more importantly, as you saw in the title, this is great news! I'm hoping this means that this series has gotten so many requests to get translated - meaning we can hope for an anime remake?! I guess that's going too far, but still, I was so happy to hear this news, that I came back to this blog. Life had gotten busy for me (getting married) so this hobby had to be pushed into the backseat for quite a while. Plus, I didn't know blogging was so much work. Lately, I'm back in front of my computer studying on marketing and affiliate. Yes, I don't plan on making money on translating other people's work without permission. Hence, when the volume 1 is officially published on May 11 2023, I plan to take down my volume 1 translations. It wouldn't be right to leave it posted. I want to think of myself as a true fan of Mizue Tani, and show my respect. But I will be adding a link to a store that sells the book. But I'm not quite sure where you guys buy your books. I've completely gone digital, and buy from BOOK☆WALKER (Japan site). I had the Earl and Fairy in paper, but sold them, and bought them in digital. Now I can read them anywhere, but it's quite a strain on my eyes. The skin under my left eye twitches a lot when I've been reading too much. (Does this happen to anyone else?) As for the continuation of the translations - I cannot say I want to got back to uploading one whole chapter. It takes a lot of time. But I am thinking about this translation hobby again pretty seriously. The official English publication really got my spirits up. Will post if I have a new plan. In the mean time, tell me how you guys get your books! Thanks to those who participated in the survey! Hello all,
Sorry to leave you all in the dark so long. Just wanted to post a notice that I am still alive and well. About updating the translations, I am still considering in translating the light novels. However, I am worried that the publishers will hunt me down and take down this site. So far my job at translating at a gaming company in Tokyo is taking over my private time, so cant say when I will get back to work on these books. But I am considering changing jobs, and the place I am considering has work that does not take away from my private life, hopefully... Anyway, for those who are still visiting this site, I sincerely thank you. And apologize for the wait. Hope to see you all soon, with some good news! Hello all,
Sorry to leave you in the dark. I am fine, just had to turn off the translation switch in me to prioritize a few other things. I would like to catch up in the novels, but do not have any particular date fixed yet. For those who have kept coming back, thank you. And hope to be able to please you all with new trans. But just a update on my status for now. Hi all, I just wanted to let the visitors to this site know that I'm still alive and well. My job has been taking up more hours than I should allow hence I haven't gotten any time for my hobby. Job making me being busy doesn't mean I will give up on translating this series. I thank again all of those who still check up on this site and appauld your patience. Many thanks, Nalya Hello HakuYo fans! Sorry for making you all wait. I completed the translation of the first chapter titled "Anxiety of being apart" in book 7 "Tell me the reason of your tears." I have to say that this is one of my favorite books in this series and hope that many will come to see how great it is. Although maybe I don't have to prove that since this book was chosen to be animated for the anime series. Anyway please enjoy! Nalya P.S. The new book by the author was good. But I have to say Hakushaku to Yousei is more my taste! Hello HakuYo fans, I am slowly finishing the translation of the next book in the series but I couldn't stop myself from getting excited about the author's newest book. Hopefully its wonderful and becomes a series. It's called "異人館画廊 盗まれた絵と謎を読む少女" (translated Foreigner's home art gallery: The stolen painting and the girl who reads mysteries). Apparently its a mystery novel. Here is a website advertising it: http://cobalt.shueisha.co.jp/news/mystery/ (Japanese). And the illustrator is Tsuguko Shijima. Outline: 独自の意味を背景や小物に込め、暗号として絵画にする技法、図像。英国で図像学を学んだ千景は、祖父の死を知り日本へ戻ってきた。今は祖母が経営する画廊で、2枚一組の絵画の鑑定依頼を受けた。その絵画は盗難品でいわくつきらしく…!? (Icons are pieces of art or paintings that contain complex iconography by hiding unique meanings in its backgrounds or objects. Chikage, a girl who studied iconography in England, learns that her grandfather passed away and returns to her homeland Japan. At the gallery currently run by her grandmother, she is asked to judge a pair of paintings. Apparently those paintings were stolen pieces and come with a dark history...?!) Comment from the author: 図像学者の千景は帰国子女。祖母の画廊に集まるのは、画商や女優や占い師? 奇妙な面々とともに事件の解決に乗り出します。絵画にまつわる謎とともに、 千景の謎や幼なじみ(?)の透磨との関係もお楽しみください。 (Chikage is an iconographer who has returned to Japan. The members who gather at her grandmother's gallery are an art dealer, actress and fortune-teller? She struggles to solve a mystery along with these strange people. Please enjoy the mystery evolving around the paintings and the mystery of Chikage and her relationship with her childhood acquaintance(?) Toma.) Character Relationship Graph: (In Japanese only) Happy late new years! I hope everyone has enjoyed their Christmas and New Years! I apologize for being late in my translations, reason was the muscle under one of my eyes started to twitch out of control every time I looked at a computer or cellphone screen. I thought it would be best to take a rest away from staring at screens for a while. Thankfully that twitching is now gone and I was able to complete the short story "Magic for me to reach you" in book 8. In this story, you get to know how Lydia and Edgar spent their Christmas apart from each other, or not?! Enjoy! Nalya Dear HakuYo fans, Since they don't have Thanksgiving here in Japan, many places have started to take out their Christmas decorations which feels weird. I'm going to miss a good turkey roast this year. Darn, I just have to go by with Kentucky fried chicken I guess. Anyway, I would just like to report that my Internet is finally coming back together. It is in a good working condition but you never know, it might just ecompletely retire without telling me someday. So I will have the translation up soon. Hopefully someday this week, unless some emergency project comes up at work. Till then, Nalya My wireless Internet is not working (I'm making this post from my iPhone). I can't figure out why this box isn't working (I'm the type of person who would give these kinds of electrical boxes a good shake to see if that works) so I will have to ask everyone to wait on reading the translations. Sorry... This Internet has been acting strange ever since the big storm had passed by, so maybe one of the cords are loose. Maybe, I don't know... Anyway, you hear from me again. Please imagine that my Internet has not been fixed. Nalya |
